God works through families.

As God prepared Noah for the coming flood, He instructed Noah to gather his family and families (male and female) of the animals.  Then, when the water subsided, the Bible says, “So Noah went out, and his sons and his wife and his sons’ wives with him.  Every beast, every creeping thing, and every bird, everything that moves on the earth, went out by families from the ark” (Genesis 8:18-19).  God sent out the families to multiply and to fill the earth, reminiscent of the instructions He gave in Genesis 1.

I believe God wants to work through my family and your family. And, if this is God’s desire, I need to be the godly husband and father God has called me to be. My prayers for my family will seek God’s will and direction. He must increase and I must decrease, because my family is not my own but His. He leads. He protects. He provides. He is glorified.
